Indoor S’mores

8 C. (13 oz. box) Golden Grahams Cereal
6 C. (10.5 oz bag) miniature marshmallows, divided
1 ½ C. (9 oz.) chocolate chips
5 Tbsp. butter or margarine, cut into pieces
¼ C. light corn syrup (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla extract


Grease 9x13 pan.  Pour cereal into a large bowl.  Heat 5 C. marshmallows, chocolate chips, butter, and corn syrup in medium heavy-duty saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth.  Remove from heat.  Stir in vanilla extract.  Pour marshmallow mixture over cereal; stir until well coated.  Stir in remaining marshmallows.  Press mixture into prepared pan.  Refrigerate for one hour or until firm.  Cut into bars.
